Raven was building a tall tower.
Block by block, it grew higher and higher.
Raven smiled. She felt proud.
Then—
CRASH.
The tower fell down.
Raven’s ears drooped. Her tummy felt tight.
“I worked so hard,” she whispered.
Mama Salem came closer and sat beside her.
She didn’t rush. She didn’t fix it.
“I see you,” Mama Salem said softly.
Raven took a deep breath.
She leaned against Mama Salem’s warm fur.
“I don’t know if I want to try again,” Raven said.
“That’s okay,” Mama Salem replied.
“You can rest… or try again… or stop for today.”
Raven thought for a moment.
She chose different blocks this time.
She built more slowly.
The tower wasn’t perfect.
But Raven smiled anyway.
“I tried again,” she said.
Mama Salem smiled back.
“And that is something to be proud of.”
